Helping out at the school

Today, I worked at the kids school helping out with the Thanksgiving dinner.  What they do is they cook this huge dinner of Turkey, gravy, stuffing, corn, mashed potatoes, and pie; then they let businesses in the area order a lunch for $6.00 and they deliver it to them.  They also feel all the kids at school and whoever else wants to come.  The fellowship was great, and the food was wonderful!   I helped cut and plate the pie slices.  We had pumpkin, apple, and chocolate cream pie as a choice.  The seniors delivered all the orders at 11:30 and when they came back I ate lunch with Meagan and her friends at school.

After  the huge lunch, Meagan and I went to the Crystal Mall and I got the free gift from Aerie.  This month it is a free bottle of perfume, I picked the white bottle called Katie.  I love it.

Tomorrow we head to Georgia to visit with family.  We are staying with my in-laws and my oldest son is coming over Saturday for lunch.  My sister and her family will come too.  It is always special to visit with family you haven’t seen in awhile.

Oh yeah, today all the DVD’s I ordered from S.M. Davis came in and I can’t wait to get started on them.  Growing spiritually is like getting the dead cut off, it hurts, but is necessary for growth.

I am so thankful for all God has done for me.  I don’t deserve it but I am blessed with my family and love and all abounding grace.  I am so glad God is longsuffering.  I was reading in Jonah last night and noticed for the first time that in just the first few verses Jonah was running from God and disobeying him, but when the storm came Jonah was fast asleep.  Even Jonah knew how loving a God he served.  God is good all the time, All the time God is good.  🙂
