Waiting on Irene

Living in the Outer Banks is such a treat!  How blessed to live so close to the ocean and have access to all the fun things here like scuba, kayaking, fishing, sunrises, sunsets, and sand!  This week I guess we are seeing the down side.  A hurricane is coming, the first one of the season.  It is already a Cat 3 in the Bahamas and I am praying that is goes east into the Atlantic.  I have talked to many of the locals here and most say that the codes are wonderful here and that leaving isn’t necessary.  I don’t know, I will have to wait and see.  I kinda have mixed feelings.  I just started my new job as a bus driver and would hate to bail on them, but I also don’t want to have to swim to the store either.

Isiah 40:31But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
