Garlic Green Beans Ingredients:
 
2 cans regular green beans, drained
1 teaspoon garlic powder 
2 Tablespoons butter
 
Directions:
 
1. Heat green beans in saucepan with garlic powder and butter.

Chili Coke Roast

 

Chili Coke Roast Ingredients:

1 beef roast, 3-4 lbs.
1 can Coca-Cola
1 package onion soup mix
1 bottle chili sauce

Directions:

1. Place all ingredients in crock-pot and cook for 7-10 hours depending on size of roast.

2. The meat will flake apart when done. Serve over mashed potatoes.

Strawberry Cupcakes

 

  • 10 ounce package frozen halved strawberries in syrup or one 16-ounce container sliced strawberries in sugar, thawed

    package white cake mix (2-layer size)
  • 1/2
    ounce package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4
    cup butter, softened
  • 1
    teaspoon vanilla
  • 4
    cups powdered sugar
  • Red food coloring (optional)

directions

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line twenty-four 2-1/2-inch muffin cups; set aside. Drain packaged strawberries, reserving syrup. Set aside 3 tablespoons of the syrup for frosting. Add enough water to the remaining syrup to measure 3/4 cup total liquid. Prepare cake mix according to package directions, substituting the syrup-water mixture for the liquid called for on the package. Stir in the drained strawberries. (Batter will be thick.)
2.Spoon batter into prepared muffin cups, filling each about two-thirds full. Use the back of a spoon to smooth out batter in cups.
3.Bake about 18 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in centers comes out clean. Cool cupcakes in muffin cups on wire racks for 5 minutes. Remove cupcakes from muffin cups. Cool completely on wire racks.
4.For frosting, allow cream cheese and butter to stand at room temperature for 30 minutes. In a large mixing bowl beat cream cheese, butter, vanilla, and the reserved syrup with an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Gradually beat in powdered sugar. If desired, beat in 1 or 2 drops red food coloring. Pipe or spread frosting over cooled cupcakes. Store frosted cupcakes in the refrigerator. Before serving, top each cupcake with a whole strawberry. Makes 24 (2-1/2-inch) cupcakes.

Thanksgiving

The day before Thanksgiving and I am cooking ham hocks for my collards to bathe in for about 2 hours.  I am also getting ready to fix my salads and casseroles for tomorrow as well.  I am finally home after traveling around for the last 5 1/2 years and I am elated!!   Two of my sisters are coming over and I will have all my children here.  I am so thankful for that I can’t even begin to describe.

Stuffed Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons good-quality mayonnaise
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 (16-ounce) can jellied cranberry sauce, chilled

Directions

Mix cream cheese and mayonnaise until creamy. It needs to be spreadable. Add pecans and mix well. Slice cranberry sauce in 1/4-inch rounds and spread cream cheese mixture on 1 round and place another round on top, sandwich style. Cut each round in half like a sandwich and place in shallow container, covered. Keep in refridgerator until time to serve

Campbell’s Green Bean Casserole

2 (10.75 ounce) cans Campbell’s®
Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup or
Campbell’s® Condensed 98% Fat Free
Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 cup milk
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
8 cups cooked cut green beans
2 2/3 cups French’s® French Fried
Onions
DIRECTIONS:
1. Stir soup, milk, soy sauce, pepper, beans and 1 1/3 cups onions in 3-qt. casserole.
2. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 25 min. or until hot. Stir.
3. Top w ith remaining onions. Bake for 5 min. more
